“Jak and the Scarlet Thread” Student Video Review

Here’s a review of “Jak and the Scarlet Thread” from a Homestar Book Club student. The Homestar Book Club read “Jak” for their winter/spring 2012 book club. I got to hang out with them for their last day of class last Tuesday, and had a great time. Here’s what one student had to say.

Nite Lite 5/16/12 “The Ugly Duckling Pt 1, Late Froggy & 7′s”

Tonight we begin a story you may have read before from Hans Christian Andersen called “The Ugly Duckling” Then in The Pond, Tony the Frog is late helping out on work day and ends up causing a disaster. After that, find out what’s behind the number 7 in the Bible.

Click here to go to tonight’s show.

Enjoy!

Nite Lite is pajamas and the Bible mixed up with a half hour of music, adventure and laughter, all to help kids from 5 to 75 wind down and get ready to go to sleep (we all know the world is a better place when kids look forward to bedtime). In addition to streaming audio, Nite Lite airs on WHEM 91.3 FM ( www.whem.com) Sunday-Thursday nights at 7:30.

If you’d like to go on a fantasy adventure through the first nine chapters of the Bible, pick up a copy of my book, Jak and the Scarlet Thread. 12-year old Jak Hamelton gets thrown back to a particular garden paradise where he meets a man and a woman who get into trouble with a snake (sound familiar?). The comments coming back to me from kids, parents and ministry leaders are overwhelming and humbling. Would love to hear what you think!

Nite Lite 5/15/12 “Tunes on Tuesday & The Huge Rabbit Again”

It is a Tunes on Tuesday night! We’re goign to hear from Sandra Boynton’s gang, Uncle Charlie and more. And then in The Wise Little Girl, we find out what she does with a huge rabbit. Then it’s on to a new book in the Bible.

“Jak” review from book club student

Here’s one of the comments students gave me about “Jak and the Scarlet Thread” last week. Glad to see what God’s doing thru it!

Mr. Anderson,
Jak and the Scarlet Thread was wonderful!!! I had it finished in a weekend. It brought Creation, the Fall and the Flood to life. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Nite Lite 5/14/12 “Rabbit, No-Hugs & Zip the Lips”

Tonight in The Wise Little Girl, the little girl asks for a rabbit. Then in Supernatural Fingerprints, we’re exploring an animal you definitely do not want to get a hug from. After that, Joshua tells his army to zip their lips.
