Nite Lite 5/13/12 “Wise Little Girl, Fiddle Practice & The Commander”

Tonight we begin a story we’ve heard before from Odds Bodkin called The Wise Little Girl. Then in the Pond, a cricket practices his fiddle…at night. After that, Joshua meets a very interesting man, at least, he thinks it’s a man.

Nite Lite is pajamas and the Bible mixed up with a half hour of music, adventure and laughter, all to help kids from 5 to 75 wind down and get ready to go to sleep (we all know the world is a better place when kids look forward to bedtime). In addition to streaming audio, Nite Lite airs on WHEM 91.3 FM ( www.whem.com) Sunday-Thursday nights at 7:30.

If you’d like to go on a fantasy adventure through the first nine chapters of the Bible, pick up a copy of my book, Jak and the Scarlet Thread. 12-year old Jak Hamelton gets thrown back to a particular garden paradise where he meets a man and a woman who get into trouble with a snake (sound familiar?). The comments coming back to me from kids, parents and ministry leaders are overwhelming and humbling. Would love to hear what you think!

Book Club finishes “Jak and the Scarlet Thread”

I went to the Homestar Homeschool Group on Tuesday to take part in their final discussion of “Jak and the Scarlet Thread.”

The teacher led them thru a “Jak” quiz game, and I am a little embarrassed to admit that I got one of the questions wrong. Whoops. Then they did a Q&A with me…lots of great questions. It was funny because the first question was “When is your next book coming out?” I love that question. I told him I’m hoping to finish a rough draft by the end of the summer.

An hour and a half went pretty fast, and at the end, I signed a bunch of books, one notebook, one piece of paper, and a backpack.

I will be putting up several of the video interviews the kids gave me as well as their written reviews of “Jak” over the course of the next several weeks.

Nite Lite 5/8/12 “Jenny’s Wish, Jack Pearson Live Interview, Circumcision”

Tonight in “The Wanderer in Africa,” David’s sister Jenny wishes that David had never come home. Then we have a Jack Pearson special, two songs he performed in my studio live. After that, something happens in Israel that hasn’t happened in 40 years.

Tonight in “The Wanderer in Africa,” David’s old master, Master Kooray refuses the help he so desperately needs. Then in The Pond, the creatures go kookoo for chocolate. After that, Israel builds a pile of rocks.

Nite Lite 5/1/12 “Tunes on Tuesday & the Doctor”

It’s Tunes on Tuesday! We have Sandara Boynton and her crew, Jack Pearson, Go Fish, and more. And then in “The Wanderer in Africa,” Carlton tells David an amazing story of his own wrongdoing. After that God gives Israel an amazing sign.
